Character Bio (Please keep it simple and brief): Sadie grew up with a very rich, blended family consisting of her mother, a nurse, her stepfather, a surgeon, her older brother, her older step-sister, and her baby half-sister in the Hamptons. They were the picture of perfection; two extremely intelligent parents, with four equally intelligent children, living in an oversized house with everything they could ever want.

Her mother decided -- upon divorcing her real father when she was eight because he made a bad business deal and lost everything -- that it was much easier to follow in HER mother's footsteps and marry an abusive, cheating slimeball than it was to stay married to someone loving, but poor as a churchmouse. Sadie and her brother, not even three months after the divorce was finalized, were packed up, and immediately shipped from TN to the Hamptons, where they were told that their mother was not only going to marry someone they did not know, but that he had a daughter, as well. It really wasn't such a huge deal, to her, given that she knew she would still see her father every other week, but her brother, who was just turning fourteen, seemed to know that it was a bad idea. However, they didn't have a choice, and off they went.

The house itself wasn't much different than the one she grew up in, at all. She, too, grew up with everything under the sun, save for the end of her time with her real father, when their house was foreclosed upon. The environment itself was vastly different, however.

Her father used to wake Sadie and her brother every morning on the weekend to the sound of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon being cooked, or him packing to take them both on a camping and fishing trip. He took them on long walks in the summer, sledding in the winter, made sure that every fight ended in an 'I'm sorry', and a hug and a kiss.

He paid attention to their grades and made sure their homework was done, since he was the one that stayed home with them due to his career as an author. He played with and loved them, and he loved their mother. He even made time for their mother despite her long hours at work.

That was not the case at the Munroe house, however. There were never any days spent fishing in the summer, or evenings spent eating Ramen Noodle Soup by the fire in the winter. No one ever made sure grades were kept up. No one ever checked to see if homework was done; half the time, neither of them were able to get them to school and back, because they were either sleeping, or working. Everybody was left to fend for themselves.

Not even the fights would get solved, at the Munroe house. Her mother and her stepfather would argue, and drink. With a lethal combination like that, words would be said and fists would be used toward her mother...

Until Sadie stepped in. Then, those things would be turned on her, and she became very good at lying about how she got a split lip, or why there were read marks on her arms.

This caused her to get into trouble. She acted out by drinking whatever she could get her hands on, and popping whatever pill she could pay for. Her drug of choice was always XTC, though.

Eventually, this led to loads of trouble when a boy from her school slipped something in her drink. He took advantage of her passed out state, and two months later she learned that she was pregnant. Immediately, Sadie fled town after packing what she could fit into a backpack, and hit the streets of NYC.

Ajay, a gentle, but not-too-bright man, attended the church she had been sleeping in and so he is currently helping her out with putting a roof over her head and food in her mouth.
